AL-07

In Alabama's land so grand, There lies a district, oh so grand, From Choctaw to Wilcox, it stretches wide, With cities and counties, side by side. Selma, the largest city it holds, Where stories of courage and history unfolds, From Birmingham to Montgomery's grace, This district's beauty, we embrace. With African-American voices, strong and loud, Since the redistricting of '90, it's true, A Democratic stronghold, through and through. But changes are coming, a shift in the breeze, A new map is drawn, with careful ease, Montgomery and Clarke, they'll soon depart, To the 2nd district, a fresh start. Tuscaloosa County, a portion will go, To the 4th district, a change to show, But fear not, dear children, the district remains, With Terri Sewell, our representative, who reigns.
