Aodh O Con Ceanainn
In ancient times, there was a king,
Aodh Ó Con Ceanainn, a noble thing.
He ruled with grace and strength untold,
In the land of Uí Díarmata, so we're told.
Aodh was brave, a warrior bold,
His heart was made of purest gold.
He fought for his people, day and night,
Protecting them with all his might.
When Donnell passed, the crown was his,
To lead his kingdom with love and bliss.
He stood tall, with a regal air,
A king so just, beyond compare.
His reign was peaceful, his rule was fair,
The people loved him, everywhere.
He brought prosperity to his land,
With wisdom and a helping hand.
So let us remember Aodh's name,
His legacy, his lasting fame.
A king of honor, a noble king,
Aodh Ó Con Ceanainn, we will forever sing.
