BLAKE2bp
In a land of codes and ciphers, so grand,
There lived a hash function called Blake, oh so grand.
With ChaCha by its side, they made a great pair,
Encrypting messages with utmost care.
Blake had two variants, both strong and true,
One with 32-bit words, the other with 64.
Blake-256 and Blake-224, they were named,
Their digest sizes, different, but both acclaimed.
Blake operated on a 4x4 array,
Combining hash values in a clever way.
With 8-word hash values and 16 words to combine,
Blake created a hash that was truly divine.
But Blake had a sibling, a function quite new,
Blake2 was its name, announced in 2012.
Based on Blake, it improved and enhanced,
A more efficient hash, it proudly advanced.
And then came Blake3, in the year twenty-twenty,
Building on Blake2, it was strong and plenty.
With faster speeds and improved security,
Blake3 became a hash of great maturity.
So remember the tale of Blake and ChaCha,
The hash functions that protected data far.
In the world of cryptography, they stood tall,
Keeping secrets safe for one and all.
