BQ.1.3
Once upon a time, in a land far away,
A variant named Omicron came to play.
First reported in South Africa's domain,
On November twenty-fourth, it made its claim.
From Botswana it spread, oh so wide,
Becoming the dominant variant worldwide.
Omicron, B.1.1.529, was its name,
Causing the world to never be the same.
But wait, there's more, subvariants appeared,
BA.1, BA.2, BA.3, BA.4, and BA.5, it's been cleared.
And in October twenty-twenty-two's embrace,
BQ.1 and BQ.1.1 emerged with grace.
To protect ourselves, a vaccine we take,
Three doses provide a shield, make no mistake.
Against Omicron and its subvariants, they say,
Severe disease and hospitalization, they keep at bay.
Though BA.4 and BA.5 are more infectious, it's true,
No evidence of greater sickness or severity, it's through.
So let's stay safe, my dear friends, and be wise,
Together we'll face Omicron, under sunny skies.
