By-elections to the Senedd
In the Senedd, oh so grand,
By-elections take their stand.
Seats are won and seats are lost,
Parties changing, what a cost!
Peter Law, a man so bold,
Left the Labour Party, we are told.
Sat as independent, free and true,
His by-election, a tale to pursue.
His widow stepped up to the task,
To win the seat, a daunting ask.
Independent gain, from Labour's hold,
A story of love, so brave and bold.
In the Senedd's halls, the dance goes on,
Parties shifting, like a swan.
By-elections, a chance to change,
To rearrange the political range.
So let us learn from this tale,
In the Senedd, where voices prevail.
By-elections bring a new dawn,
Where democracy's spirit is forever drawn.
