In the Senedd, oh so grand, By-elections take their stand. Seats are won and seats are lost, Parties changing, what a cost! Peter Law, a man so bold, Left the Labour Party, we are told. Sat as independent, free and true, His by-election, a tale to pursue. His widow stepped up to the task, To win the seat, a daunting ask. Independent gain, from Labour's hold, A story of love, so brave and bold. In the Senedd's halls, the dance goes on, Parties shifting, like a swan. By-elections, a chance to change, To rearrange the political range. So let us learn from this tale, In the Senedd, where voices prevail.
