COBRA (insurance)

Once upon a time, in nineteen eighty-five, A law was passed, oh, what a jive! COBRA was its name, a law so grand, To help folks keep health insurance in hand. When you leave your job, don't you fret, COBRA's got your back, you won't forget. You can keep your coverage, that's the deal, Even if your job is no longer real. COBRA's not just about health insurance, you see, It covers many things, as it should be. From pensions to railroads, it's quite a mix, And even tobacco, oh, what a fix! Title X is a part that's quite unique, It amends the code, oh, what a tweak! Employers must meet requirements, it's true, To get tax deductions, they must follow through. So remember, my friends, when you leave a job, COBRA's there to help, it's no time to sob. You can keep your coverage, don't you fear, Thanks to COBRA, your health is near!
