Ch'alla Jawira
In Bolivia's land, so far away,
Flows a river, where children play,
Ch'alla Jawira, its name so grand,
A river of sand, in a magical land.
From Chilla-Kimsa Chata, it does emerge,
With streams named Negro Amaya and Marco Soruco, it surges,
With a south-eastern flow, it dances and twirls,
Through Coro Coro Municipality, it unfurls.
Janq'u Qalani, where it gains its new name,
Ch'alla Jawira, a river of fame,
Tupa Jawira, near Puki Tira's peak,
Its journey continues, strong and sleek.
Wichhu Qullu, a left affluent it meets,
Qura Jawira, a new name it greets,
Suni Jawira, a deserted river's embrace,
Joining as one, in a beautiful chase.
At Patacamaya, where the rivers unite,
Ch'alla Jawira and Aqhuya Jawira, shining so bright,
In Aroma Province, their journey does end,
A magical river, a cherished friend.
