In Algeria, there's a place to fly, Soummam Airport, up in the sky. It serves Béjaïa, a city so grand, With planes that take you to a far-off land. Opened in '82, it came to be, A hub for travelers, both near and free. Its growth was swift, its fame did rise, And in '93, it reached the skies. Abane Ramdane, a hero's name, The airport's named after, his claim to fame. A revolutionary, he fought for his land, And the Congress of Soummam, he did command. In 2008, passengers did soar, On domestic flights, and so much more. Over 50,000 flew within the nation, While 170,000 explored international destinations.
