In Birmingham town, oh what a sight,
A wondrous airport, shining so bright,
With planes that soar high up in the sky,
Bringing travelers from far and wide.
Once called Elmdon, it opened its doors,
In nineteen thirty-nine, it began to soar,
But during the war, it had a new role,
For the RAF and Navy, it played a vital role.
Now it's a hub for planes big and small,
With a license to fly, for one and all,
Passengers come from all around,
To fly to Europe, and far beyond.
Jet2.com, easyJet, and Ryanair too,
TUI Airways, they all pass through,
To the Middle East and Indian lands,
Birmingham Airport, it truly expands.
So next time you're flying, oh what a treat,
Through Birmingham Airport, so neat,
Look out the window, as you take flight,
And see the world from a wondrous height.
