Eua (Greek toponym)

In Arcadia, long ago, A village called Eva did grow. Nestled in a valley fair, With mountains high and fresh, clean air. Pausanias, a traveler wise, Mentioned Eva with his eyes. He spoke of a sanctuary grand, Where the physician's healing hand. Polemocrates, a name so strong, In Eva's village he did belong. His hieron, a sacred place, Filled with hope and healing grace. But Pausanias, in his tale, Did not speak of a villa's trail. Herodes Atticus, a man of fame, Built a villa, a place to claim. In the year of 1980, Excavations brought a story, Of mosaics and statues rare, Of art and beauty beyond compare. Eva's ancient village, oh so grand, With treasures buried in the sand. A place where history comes alive, For curious minds to explore and thrive. Random page: APA-215
