Fiallo v. Bell

The Immigration Act was put to the beam. It gave preference to children and parents too, Of citizens and residents, both old and new. Only certain relationships could have their say. Legitimate, adopted, or stepchild, you see, Illegitimate children had no guarantee. They said the law was discriminatory and wrong. Equal protection and due process they claimed, But the Supreme Court's decision left them unnamed. Their power to admit or exclude, they did profess. The legislative decision, they would not test, It was not for the judiciary to protest. Sometimes it may seem unfair, with flaws. But it's up to us to make a change, To ensure equality for all, in our range. Random page: DGAC (France)
