Ft. duquesne

In a land so far away, where rivers meet, Stood a fort so grand, oh what a feat! French it was, with walls so strong, Fort Duquesne, where history belongs. In seventeen fifty-four, it first came to be, By the Allegheny and Monongahela, you see. A place of power, a place of might, Where French soldiers stood, day and night. But the British came, with a plan in mind, To take over the fort, they were determined to find. They fought and they battled, with all their might, And Fort Duquesne fell, in the midst of the fight. The Americans came, and the fort they did claim, They built a new city, Pittsburgh by name. Fort Duquesne was no more, but its memory lives on, In the bricks of Point State Park, where history's drawn. So let us remember, this fort so grand, Where nations clashed, in a distant land. Fort Duquesne, a story to be told, Of battles fought and history unfold. Random page: LK-60Ya class icebreaker
