Fylde Borough Council election, 1999

In Fylde town, a day so grand, Election time was close at hand. The people gathered, filled with cheer, To choose their council members dear. On the sixth of May, the date was set, To cast their votes, they would not forget. Candidates stood, with hopes held high, To win the hearts of passersby. The council's fate, uncertain still, No overall control, it would fulfill. The people's voices, strong and clear, Would shape the council for the coming year. The candidates campaigned with all their might, Promising change, both day and night. The people listened, pondered, and thought, Deciding who should lead their sought.
