GABRB1
There lived a gene called GABRB1, oh so grand.
It made a protein, a special one indeed,
That helped our brains, in times of need.
Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit beta-1, what a game!
It worked like a lock, on our brain's door,
Letting in messages, and keeping out more.
Like a cozy blanket, it gave our minds rest.
It helped us sleep, when the day was through,
Making sure our dreams were sweet and true.
It played a role in our brain's serene.
It helped us learn, and remember things,
Like nursery rhymes, and songs that sing.
Keeping our brains in harmony, just because.
It's a gene so small, but oh so grand,
GABRB1, we'll forever understand.
