In the land of computers, oh so grand, There was a system called GEM, you understand, With graphics and icons, it was a delight, Making computers colorful, oh what a sight! GEM was born in '85, you see, By Digital Research, it came to be, On Atari ST, it made its debut, A graphical interface, something new! But GEM didn't stop at Atari's door, It spread its wings and wanted more, IBM PCs and Amstrad machines, GEM was there, fulfilling dreams! Ventura Publisher, a program so fine, Used GEM as its core, a perfect design, GEM made it easy, with a WIMP desktop, Creating documents, without a stop!
