GODFREY MUGISHA
Mugisha Godfrey, a footballer bright,
With skills and talent, oh what a sight!
He played as a midfielder, so strong,
And as a supporting striker, he'd belong.
Representing Uganda, he did so well,
From under-16 to senior, he'd excel.
For the Cranes, he wore the national crest,
With pride and passion, he played his best.
In South Africa, a tournament grand,
Godfrey was set to play, oh so grand!
But a hamstring injury made him drop,
He had to sit out, oh what a flop!
To the United States, he then did go,
To college he went, to learn and grow.
Information systems and design he'd study,
A degree in hand, he was ready, how lovely!
He shone on the field, with awards to show,
All-conference, MVP, a star did he glow.
Chicago Storm beckoned, a chance to be signed,
But graduation called, his dream left behind.
