In the land of screens and text, There lived a program, quite complex. Its name was Vim, a tool so fine, With features vast, it would surely shine. Derived from vi, a clone so grand, Vim improved with a helping hand. Bram Moolenaar, the author true, Released it to the world, for me and you. On the Amiga, it first did appear, But soon, on other systems, it was near. Cross-platform magic, spreading wide, Vim was ready for its worldwide ride. Command-line or GUI, take your pick, Vim's versatility will do the trick. Whether you're a coder or a writer too, Vim's got the power to help you through.
