Glacial event

In a time long ago, oh so cold and drear, A glacial period came, bringing icy fear. With colder temperatures and glaciers so grand, A frozen wonderland covered the land. Glacier advances, oh what a sight, Majestic and mighty, shining so bright. For thousands of years, this period did last, A frozen epoch from the distant past. But fear not, dear children, for warmth did arrive, Interglacials appeared, bringing a new vibe. Periods of warmer climate, oh so divine, Between the glacial times, a welcome sign. The Last Glacial Period, it came to an end, 15,000 years ago, a message to send. The ice began to melt, the world did transform, A new era emerged, the Earth to adorn. Now we're in the Holocene, the current interglacial, A time of warmth and life, so magical. No glaciers remain, the Earth is so green, A greenhouse climate, a beautiful scene. So let us remember the glacial period's tale, Of cold and ice, a mesmerizing trail. But cherish the warmth, the interglacial's grace, And embrace the beauty of our Earth's embrace.
