Gyalsumdo
In Nepal's Manang District, you see,
A language spoken, so merrily.
Gyalsumdo is its name, so grand,
With only 200 speakers in the land.
Added to ISO 639-3, it became,
With the code "gyo," it gained its fame.
A language unique, and quite unknown,
In the Gandaki Zone, it has grown.
Gyalsumdo is a language tonal,
But different from others, it's quite exceptional.
Instead of syllables, it's the word that's key,
As the tone-bearing unit, you see.
Nubri and Tsum, its relatives near,
They share vocabulary, it's quite clear.
Intelligible somewhat, to Nar-Phu speakers,
Gyalsumdo connects, like friendship seekers.
So let's celebrate this language rare,
With its melody floating in the air.
Gyalsumdo, a treasure to explore,
A language to cherish and adore.
