In the constellation of Aquarius, so bright, There's a star that twinkles, day and night. Sadalmelik is its name, oh so grand, The second-brightest star in all the land. With a magnitude of 2.94, it's quite a sight, Shining so brilliantly, with all its might. It's drifting away from the Sun, you see, At a speed of 7.5 km/s, so free. Sadalmelik is a single star, so true, But it's part of a double, a celestial crew. WDS J22058-0019 is its cosmic name, With UCAC2 31789179, it shares its fame. From the Sun, it's a distance, so far, About 520 light-years, oh what a star! Measured by Hipparcos, with great care, Sadalmelik shines, beyond compare.
