In the constellation Cetus, far away, The Skull Nebula, where stars do play. A planetary nebula, so bright, With a triple star system, what a sight! William Herschel, with his telescope keen, Discovered NGC 246, a heavenly scene. In seventeen eighty-five, it came to be, A wondrous nebula, for all to see. One thousand six hundred light-years apart, NGC 246, a celestial work of art. Its central star, a white dwarf so bright, HIP 3678 A, shining in the night. Don't confuse it with the Rosette Nebula's might, NGC 2337, also known as Skull, in the light. But some call NGC 246, a playful name, The Pac-Man Nebula, a cosmic game. So let's gaze up at the sky so vast, And marvel at the wonders that will forever last. The Skull Nebula, a nursery rhyme's delight, A reminder of the beauty that fills the night.
