HKHRDA
In Hong Kong, a land so fair,
Where people's rights they hold so dear,
A law was passed, so strong and true,
To protect the rights of me and you.
The Hong Kong Act, it came to be,
To fight for justice, for all to see,
It sanctions those who abuse their might,
And stands for freedom, shining bright.
Each year, a review will take place,
To see if changes they must embrace,
To keep the trade relations fair,
And show the world that we all care.
Pro-democracy activists, they did cheer,
As this bill passed, with voices clear,
In Congress, it gained support so strong,
To right the rights that had gone wrong.
The House and Senate, hand in hand,
Unanimously, they took a stand,
To protect the people of Hong Kong,
And show them they are not alone.
President Trump, with pen in hand,
Signed the bill, a noble stand,
To show the world that the U.S. believes,
In human rights and democracy's leaves.
Alongside this act, another came,
To limit exports, a worthy aim,
To ensure that crowd control devices,
Are not used to stifle voices.
So let us celebrate this act so grand,
That protects the rights of every land,
And teaches children, young and small,
That justice and freedom matter most of all.
