Of a game that was canceled, left behind. Half-Life 2: Episode Three, they say, A thrilling adventure, never to see the light of day. To continue the story, so bittersweet. In 2006, they made the reveal, Episode Three was coming, it was a big deal. To see what would happen, oh, how time would fly. But years went by, with little to show, And in 2011, it was called vaporware, oh no! A lack of direction, they said, it had won. They needed Source 2, their new engine grand, To create a new Half-Life, in a far-off land. In the form of a story, where imagination reigns. Marc Laidlaw, the writer, gave us a gift, A glimpse of Episode Three, our spirits to lift. To the Arctic he ventured, on a ship he'd invest. The Borealis awaited, a vessel so grand, With Aperture Science, a journey so unplanned. A tale of adventure, that our imagination gives.
