In April 2008, a partnership was born, To improve health services, a mission sworn. HQIP, the name it was given, To promote quality, a goal driven. Led by a consortium, a royal crew, With nurses and voices, they knew what to do. The Academy of Medical Royal Colleges in the lead, With the Royal College of Nursing, a noble deed. Together they hold the contract, you see, To commission audits, for all to agree. The National Clinical Audit and Patient Outcomes Programme, A collection of audits, like a sweet little anthem. More than 40 audits, registries too, Covering conditions, both old and new. To evaluate practice, against standards they strive, Improving care, so all can thrive. But that's not all, there's more to unfold, The National Joint Registry, a story to be told. Collecting information on joint replacement surgery, Monitoring performance, a necessary journey. Working closely with others, they stand tall, The Care Quality Commission, NICE, and all. NHS England/Improvement, and many more, A network of support, to explore. Jane Ingham, the CEO, leading the way, With a trustee board, guiding each day. Carrie MacEwen, the chair, with wisdom and grace, Together they ensure, HQIP's embrace. So let's celebrate this partnership, so grand, Improving healthcare across the land. With audits and registries, they make a difference, Ensuring quality, with every existence.
