HRET

In the land of the Philippines, a tribunal we find, It decides election protests, fair and kind. The House of Representatives, where laws are made, The Electoral Tribunal, justice is its trade. Six representatives, wise and true, Three justices from the Supreme Court, they join the crew. Designated by the Chief Justice, with great care, To ensure fairness and justice, they're always there. In the SET-HRET Building, they gather each day, At the Commission on Audit Compound, where they stay. A place of wisdom, where decisions are made, To uphold democracy, they never fade. With monthly allowances, a hundred thousand they receive, On top of their salaries, it's a blessing they believe. For their dedication, for their hard work and time, To protect the elections, a mission so sublime. In August 2020, a change they had to make, Their old building condemned, a new path they take. With courage and resilience, they face the unknown, To continue their work, their purpose still shown. So let us remember, this tribunal so grand, Protecting democracy, across the land.
