INA § 101(a)(43)(F)
In the land of immigration law,
There's a term that you should know,
Aggravated felony, it's quite a name,
For crimes that bring a lot of shame.
If you commit a crime so severe,
With consequences that are clear,
Asylum and residency you may lose,
Citizenship, too, you'll have to choose.
Deportation may be on the line,
For those who've crossed the legal line,
Twenty years outside, you must stay,
Before you can come back and play.
When it was first added, long ago,
To tackle concerns, to make things so,
Murder and trafficking were the start,
But it grew to include a wider part.
Crimes related to gambling and fraud,
Added by laws, it may seem odd,
So remember, my friends, always be wise,
And follow the law, reach for the skies.
