IUCN Red List critically endangered species (Protista)

In the ocean deep, where creatures roam, There's a group of species, called Chromista, they're known. Fifteen in total, their conservation we seek, To protect their beauty, so unique. The IUCN, a group so wise, Evaluates these species, to our surprise. But only Chromista, they've taken a look, Protist species, they've yet to brook. No subspecies or subpopulations, they say, Have been evaluated, up until this day. But fear not, my friends, for hope remains, No Chromista species, extinct in their domains. Yet, four are tagged as possibly extinct, A reminder for us, to take care and think. Let's cherish their habitats, both near and far, Preserving their homes, like a shining star. In New Zealand's waters, a story unfolds, Where macroalgae, their beauty beholds. Thirty-eight are Threatened, needing our aid, And twenty-three, Data Deficient, it's said.
