Where mushrooms and molds, they all do stand. The IUCN has evaluated with care, 280 species, their conservation they share. At 56 species, oh how unique! But one subspecies, it was removed, Pleurotus nebrodensis, no longer approved. 1512 species of fungi were seen. With 39 subspecies, oh what a sight, But 65 species, they face a plight. In nature's web, they play a key. Let's protect them, with all our might, For a world without fungi, wouldn't be right. And cherish their presence, one and all.
