JCPenney Classic

In sunny California, on the golf course so green, A tournament was held, like you've never seen. Golfers from the PGA and LPGA, Teamed up together, to play and to sway. With clubs in their hands, and smiles on their faces, They swung with precision, in all the right places. JCPenney sponsored this special affair, Bringing golfers together, to form a great pair. The teams were mixed, a unique sight to behold, One from the PGA, one from the LPGA fold. In '67, the teams were male only, But later, both genders played, feeling less lonely. From California to Florida, the tournament would roam, Bringing joy to the spectators, who called it their home. Haig & Haig, Pepsi-Cola, and JCPenney, Corporate sponsors, making the event so trendy.
