JDS Buna (PF-14)
Once upon a time, in the deep blue sea,
There sailed a ship, so proud and free.
USS Bayonne, her name so grand,
A frigate strong, protecting the land.
In nineteen forty-five, she set sail,
With a mission to never, ever fail.
Bayonne, the city, her namesake true,
A symbol of courage, for me and you.
But her journey didn't end there, you see,
For Bayonne had more adventures to be.
She joined the Soviet Navy, oh so bold,
As EK-25, her story unfolds.
Then off to Japan, she made her way,
As JDS Buna, she had a new role to play.
Protecting the waters, day and night,
A guardian ship, shining so bright.
And even now, she sails with grace,
As YAC-11, in a different place.
USS Bayonne, a ship of fame,
Forever remembered, in history's name.
