JR (photographer)
There once was a man named JR,
A photographer and street artist, by far.
With black-and-white images, he would roam,
Flyposting his art, making the streets his own.
He called himself a photograffeur,
Combining photos and graffiti, that's for sure.
In public places, his images would appear,
Challenging perceptions, spreading art far and near.
The street, he said, is the world's largest gallery,
Where art can be seen by all, for free.
From Paris he started, his journey began,
Creating masterpieces, part of his grand plan.
JR's work spoke of freedom and identity,
Breaking boundaries, pushing limits, you see.
He was hailed as the Cartier-Bresson of this age,
An artist who captured hearts, turning the page.
In 2011, he won the TED Prize,
Using the award to spread art, oh so wise.
Time magazine recognized his immense sway,
JR, an influential artist, lighting up our day.
