JTAC Hill

Once upon a time, in a land far away, Stood a hill so strong, where soldiers would stay. JTAC Hill it was called, a place of great might, Built by the Royal Engineers, shining so bright. In eighteen forty-one, it first came to be, A tactical defense for British India, you see. Through the years it grew stronger, a strategic base, Guiding planes in the sky, with skill and with grace. In the War in Afghanistan, it played a key role, A point for controllers, guiding planes to their goal. A British stronghold, in Helmand it stood, A hundred miles south, where bravery withstood. But as time went on, the soldiers had to leave, In two thousand and fourteen, they had to retrieve. The fate of JTAC Hill, it remained unknown, Perhaps decommissioned, its purpose outgrown. And now, my dear children, in twenty twenty-one, With the Taliban's takeover, the tale is done. JTAC Hill, it may be no more, But its story lives on, in the history we adore.
