JoAnne A. Epps
In a land of knowledge, she did reside,
JoAnne Epps, with wisdom as her guide.
A legal scholar, oh so bright,
Her mind sparkled, like stars at night.
At Temple University, she did soar,
As provost and leader, she did explore.
Her brilliance shone, for all to see,
A trailblazer, she would always be.
Thirteenth president, she proudly stood,
Breaking barriers, as she knew she could.
The first Black woman, with grace and poise,
Her voice echoed, like children's joyful noise.
In classrooms and halls, her spirit thrived,
Inspiring students, helping dreams survive.
With passion and love, she paved the way,
For future leaders, to seize the day.
Though she's gone, her legacy remains,
In hearts and minds, where her wisdom reigns.
JoAnne Epps, a shining star,
Forever remembered, near and far.
