KYGR
Once upon a time, in Alamo town,
There was a radio station, quite renowned.
KYGR was its name, on the FM dial,
Playing music and stories that made us smile.
Owned by the Alamo Navajo School Board,
It brought joy and laughter, we all adored.
From New Mexico it broadcasted its sound,
Spreading happiness all around.
But one fateful day, on July the first,
KYGR's license was surrendered, oh how it burst!
The Federal Communications Commission did say,
The license was cancelled, it couldn't stay.
Though KYGR is gone, its memory remains,
In the hearts of children, who danced to its refrains.
We'll remember the songs and the stories it shared,
And the joy it brought, how we all cared.
So let's raise our voices, in a joyful cheer,
For KYGR Radio, that we held dear.
Though it's no longer on the FM dial,
Its spirit lives on, making us smile.
