In the land of rising sun, oh so bright, There flew a plane, a marvelous sight, The Wild Goose, with wings so wide, It soared through the sky, with grace and pride. With a low-wing design, it flew so fast, A mail-plane turned bomber, built to last, Its crew of two, brave and true, They searched the skies, for enemies to pursue. In the Sino-Japanese War, it took to the air, Reconnaissance missions, with utmost care, Through the Pacific War, it bravely flew, As the C5M, for the Navy it knew. Code-named "Babs" by the Allies, you see, A secret name, for this plane so free, But the Wild Goose, it will always be, A symbol of courage, for all to see. So let's remember this tale, of a plane so grand, The Wild Goose, soaring over the land, With its wings spread wide, it flew with might, A true hero, in every child's sight.
