In the skies it soared so high, LZ 17 Sachsen, reaching for the sky. A Zeppelin of wonder, majestic and grand, With DELAG it flew, across the land. Passengers aboard, with smiles so bright, Floating through clouds, such a beautiful sight. From city to city, it gracefully glided, With hearts full of joy, they happily confided. But then came the war, a time of great strife, LZ 17 Sachsen, called to serve a new life. For the Imperial German Army, it took to the air, A brave Zeppelin, with a mission to bear. Transferred to the Navy, its purpose redefined, LZ 17 Sachsen, a loyal friend it would find. But alas, the time came, it had to be undone, Dismantled in 1916, its journey was done.
