Lu-dingira
In ancient lands of Sumer's lore,
A nobleman named Lu-diĝira bore,
His heart filled with love for his dear mother,
He penned a poem like no other.
With words so sweet and tenderly,
He praised her love and loyalty,
Like the Song of Songs, his words did sing,
Of a mother's love, an eternal spring.
Her gentle touch, her guiding hand,
Through life's journey, she did stand,
Her love a beacon, shining bright,
Guiding him through day and night.
In Nippur's halls, his words did ring,
Eulogies for his father and wife, he did bring,
But it was his mother, his heart did yearn,
For her love, he'd forever yearn.
So let us remember, the love of a mother,
A bond so strong, like no other,
In words of Lu-diĝira, we find,
A love that transcends space and time.
