MCAS New River
In Jacksonville, North Carolina,
A base of helicopters, oh so grand,
Marine Corps Air Station New River,
Is where they take off and land.
Named after General McCutcheon,
A father of helicopter flight,
His legacy soars through the sky,
With helicopters shining bright.
Tilt-rotor aircraft fill the air,
Their blades spinning round and round,
Marines train here, brave and strong,
Their skills with helicopters are renowned.
Near Camp Lejeune, it proudly stands,
A place where heroes come to train,
Marine Corps Base Camp Geiger too,
Sharing facilities, side by side, no pain.
So let's salute the brave Marines,
Who fly and train with all their might,
At Marine Corps Air Station New River,
A place where dreams take flight.
