MQM (Altaf)
In Pakistan, a party stands tall,
The MQM, loved by all.
Founded by Altaf Hussain, you see,
In nineteen eighty-four, it came to be.
Once known as Muhajir, a name so grand,
But Muttahida now, united they stand.
A secular party, spreading cheer,
With a kite as their symbol, flying high and clear.
Starting as students, full of zeal,
APMSO, their first appeal.
Then came the MQM, strong and true,
A force in Karachi, through and through.
For years they held power, in the city so bright,
A key coalition partner, shining so light.
But in twenty fifteen, they took a stand,
Resigned from assemblies, across the land.
In twenty sixteen, a crackdown was seen,
Leaders arrested, their headquarters, a scene.
Factions formed, a split in two,
But the MQM spirit, still shines through.
