MkB 42(H)
In a time of war and strife,
A rifle came to change the life.
MKb 42(H), a magical sight,
Designed by Schmeisser, with all his might.
Haenel's workshop, where it was born,
A carbine like never seen before.
Firing rounds, not too big or small,
A weapon for soldiers, standing tall.
On the Eastern Front, it found its place,
Aiding soldiers in the chase.
With thousands made, it stood strong,
A rifle that soldiers could rely on.
But it was not alone, you see,
Walther's rifle, the MKb 42(W).
Though less successful, it played its part,
In the evolution of a rifle, so smart.
From these predecessors, a legend grew,
The MP 43, a rifle anew.
So let's remember the MKb with glee,
A magical weapon in history's decree.
