In a time of war and strife, A rifle came to change the life. MKb 42(H), a magical sight, Designed by Schmeisser, with all his might. Haenel's workshop, where it was born, A carbine like never seen before. Firing rounds, not too big or small, A weapon for soldiers, standing tall. On the Eastern Front, it found its place, Aiding soldiers in the chase. With thousands made, it stood strong, A rifle that soldiers could rely on. But it was not alone, you see, Walther's rifle, the MKb 42(W). Though less successful, it played its part, In the evolution of a rifle, so smart.
