PDGFRA and CSPG4, their names so long, These markers help identify them strong. They're found in humans, big and small, Co-expressing, standing tall, OPCs, the glia that belong! OPCs play a role, both young and old, In myelinogenesis, a story to be told. They give rise to oligodendrocytes, Who wrap around axons, oh what a sight! Providing insulation, keeping them bold! With myelin sheath, action potentials fly, Fast and precise, oh my, oh my! No need for wider axons, you see, OPCs make it happen, so fancy and free, Transmission with fidelity, oh so spry!
