Once upon a time, in the land of tech, There was a program called PIP, oh what a spec! It helped transfer files, oh so grand, Between devices, it lent a helping hand. On the PDP-6, it first did appear, Created by Dit, a genius engineer. In the swinging sixties, it paved the way, For file transfers, each and every day. Then came the PDP-10, PDP-11, and PDP-8, PIP was implemented, it was truly great! Across DEC's systems, it spread like fire, Making file transfers a breeze, oh what desire! But wait, there's more to this tale so fine, Digital Research joined the line. On CP/M and MP/M, PIP did shine, Helping users transfer files, oh so divine. So let's give a cheer for PIP, hooray!
