OIG-NYPD
In New York City, so big and grand,
There's a watchdog agency, oh so grand.
DOI is its name, it's been around for years,
Keeping an eye on the city, no need for fears.
Established long ago, in eighteen seventy-three,
DOI's been watching, just like a busy bee.
Its investigations are secret, known to few,
Keeping the city safe, for me and you.
Some call them the "secret police," you see,
But they're just doing their job, diligently.
Independent and nonpartisan, they're fair and true,
Making sure the government does what it should do.
Confidential investigations, they carry out,
Uncovering the truth, without a doubt.
Their investigators, not in uniform they roam,
In the city's corners, they find their home.
So let's give a cheer, for the watchdog DOI,
Protecting our city, oh so sly.
They keep us safe, day and night,
New York City's guardian, shining bright.
