OR&N 197
With a mighty engine, built by skilled hands,
197 is its name, a Pacific type,
A steam-powered marvel, ready to ignite.
For the OR&N, its tracks it would invade,
Resembling Southern Pacific, so grand,
A tribute to Harriman's commanding hand.
Since 1958, it has stood out in the crowd,
A treasure to behold, for all to see,
At the Rail Heritage Center, where it's free.
As the locomotive chugs down the street,
Children gather, with eyes wide and bright,
Mesmerized by the steam, a magical sight.
On the Oregon Railroad, with joy as our guide,
197 will lead us on an adventure so grand,
A journey through time, across this great land.
