These proteins are like a special key, Unlocking the world of smells for you and me. They're part of a family, oh so grand, With G-protein-coupled receptors, hand in hand. The olfactory receptor gene family is vast, The largest in the genome, unsurpassed. With their 7-transmembrane domain structure, They help us detect smells, oh what a rupture!
