Obabika Lake (Northwestern Ontario)
In Northeastern Ontario, so grand and so vast,
Lies a lake called Obabika, where memories are cast.
With waters so clear, like a mirror so bright,
It sparkles and shimmers in the warm sunlight.
The Morris River flows, from the northwest it came,
From Dehoux Lake, it joins Obabika's fame.
Bringing life to the lake, with its gentle embrace,
Creating a haven, a magical place.
Through Obabika Narrows, the waters do flow,
From Otoonabee Lake, where adventures can grow.
A gateway to wonders, where dreams can take flight,
As the outflow cascades, with all its might.
The Morris River, the primary outflow it be,
Flowing northward, to the great Pipestone Sea.
Through the Winisk River, it dances and twirls,
Until it reaches Hudson Bay, where the wild river unfurls.
Obabika Lake, a treasure to behold,
Within Pipestone River Provincial Park, so bold.
With nature's embrace, and beauty untold,
A sanctuary of wonder, for young and old.
