Of Famous Women

In a time long ago, in lands far away, There lived many women, both bold and gay. Their stories were told, in a book so grand, By Boccaccio's hand, they forever stand. In De Mulieribus Claris they are found, These famous women, so renowned. From myth and history, their tales unfold, Their names and deeds, forever told. There was Cleopatra, a queen so fair, With beauty and charm, beyond compare. She ruled Egypt with grace and might, Her story shines, like stars at night. And then there was Joan, the Maid of Arc, A warrior brave, with a fiery spark. She led her troops, with courage and might, Fighting for justice, in the darkest night. Catherine the Great, a ruler so wise, With intellect sharp, she reached the skies. She modernized Russia, with passion and zeal, Her legacy strong, her subjects could feel. These famous women, in history's gaze, Inspire us all, in so many ways. Their stories remind us, to dream and aspire, To be brave and bold, and reach higher and higher.
