Oval-leaf figtree
A tree so graceful, with branches that flow.
Its name is Ficus benjamina, you see,
But most people call it the weeping fig tree.
It brings beauty and joy, day and night.
Its branches hang low, like a curtain of green,
Creating a peaceful and tranquil scene.
A symbol of nature for all to see.
But it's also found in lands far and wide,
In the West Indies and the States, it does reside.
With the weeping fig, so grandly adorned.
Its small fruits are loved by the birds,
A feast for their beaks, in melodious words.
With its flowing branches, like a vine.
The weeping fig, a sight to behold,
A treasure of nature, worth more than gold.
