In a world of cells, so small and bright, There's a battle happening, day and night. PD-1 and PD-L1, they're the key, Blocking cancer's way, setting cells free. These inhibitors, so magical and grand, They stop the immune system's helping hand. PD-L1 and PD-1, they like to bind, But the inhibitors say, "Leave cancer behind!" When infection strikes, the immune system roars, But PD-L1 and PD-1 open their doors. They tell the immune system, "Hold back, don't fight!" To protect the host cells, day and night. In pregnancy and transplants, they play a role, Keeping the immune system under control. But in cancer, they're tricked, they're fooled, PD-1 and PD-L1, they're not so cool.
