POLAR III
Once upon a time, in a land far away,
There was a test dummy named POLAR III, they say.
Created by Honda, with a purpose so grand,
To study how pedestrians are injured in the land.
With instruments aplenty, from head to toe,
POLAR III measured injuries, high and low.
When hit by a car, oh, what a fright,
It helped scientists understand with all their might.
In the United States, a sad truth we find,
5,000 pedestrians lose their lives, oh my!
But with POLAR III's data in their hands,
Designing safer cars, the goal of these grand plans.
By protecting pedestrians, both big and small,
The number of fatalities may start to fall.
With better designs and safety in mind,
Fewer injuries and deaths, we hope to find.
So let's thank POLAR III, our hero so true,
For helping us learn how to keep pedestrians safe too.
With knowledge and innovation, we'll strive,
To make our roads safer, for all to thrive.
